- Starbar® Fly Trap Attractant is now placed inside the trap during the manufacturing process. Previously, the Attractant was enclosed in a plastic clamshell within the funnel, requiring the customer to remove the Attractant and place inside the trap. This change makes the setup process even faster, plus the consumer no longer must handle or touch the Attractant!
- The customer will simply remove the plastic tab on the underside of the trap, fill the trap with water to the water line, and hang the trap
- Instructions are now printed on the wrap around label

When they are full I set them on two 4 inch blocks in the middle of my corral and drag a hose over, then run the hose up Inside and let the blast of water wash the flys out the bottom by over flowing. I have a container of fly killer spray handy and spray any that live through thief bath after they emerge. I then rattle the fly trap until the extra water is out or low enough to refill with a packet of the smelly bait. You can buy refills of the stinky bait.
Aleta LI have accidentally overfilled them before, and they still trap flies just fine. Once some flies get in it, and it begins to smell, there will be others.
randy WI have used both this and the disposable fly trap. While they both work well, this can hold more flies and seems to work better than the bag. The bag has the entrance for the fly on top and this has the entrance for the fly on the bottom. Once the fly crawls up into it, it cannot get out. Sometimes I see flies walk around the top of the bag and not go in therefore not getting trapped inside. I prefer the trap n toss to the bag trap... Hope this helps.
SANDRA BYes, there is an order. The smell is from the additive which is used to entice the flies to enter the trap. Works great. I have not found one that does not offer some sort of unpleasant smell.
