Your vet would be the best to check with on how long after expiration any product might be good for since it varies.
In general the date is set for when a product may start to lose it’s efficacy. So if it’s not way past the date it should not be harmful to use. It just may not be as strong.
If an expired tube was all that I had during trouble with my horse, I would certainly use it. However to be prepared I would probably purchase a new tube for future use to make sure it works as well as it should.
Generally they should have an expiration date on them but I keep mine in the fridge I think it will out last its expiration date.
