ASPC/AMHR/ASPR JUDGES CLINIC 4 DVD Set # SIMJC
This 4 DVD set is a great insight into what our judges are being taught by
our Association. Details on rules and etiquette for the judges and
exhibitors. There is great input from the many judges who attended on what
they expect in the show ring not only from the horses but from the
exhibitors. They also detail what the show staff can do to help them judge
more effectively and efficiently.
Marvin McCabe, Gary Edds and Amber Montgomery are your instructors for this
clinic filmed in Branson, MO in November 2008. This four DVD set covers the
entire clinic and is four hours and 22 minutes long. All judges with judging
cards for our association must attend an ASPC/AMHR/ASPR judging clinic once
every three years to remain qualified.
Marvin McCabe covers judges evaluations and apprentice judging and gives
many good suggestions on how to be a good judge. He explains proper judging
etiquette and how to properly work with the exhibitors.
Gary Edds talks about the USEF which is now starting to recognize our
judges. He discusses Modern Ponies and ASPC Ponies. He details proper
harnessing and what type of harness are required for each driving class
within the pony divisions. He explains motion and how a pony should move.
Bits are discussed in general.
Amber Montgomery goes into detail on all divisions within the AMHR. She
explains what the Standard of Perfection is and how each class is judged.
She also explains how within the AMHR a judges preference as to their
favorite "type" is allowed.
Whether you are interested in becoming a judge or in how our association
judges, this is a great clinic to watch.
